Uninstalling or reinstalling

  1. Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps → KoonScan (for SAP B1) → Uninstall.
  2. The program asks whether the settings, certificates, database files (data folder) and backups may stay:
  • Yes (recommended): they stay. If you install again, KoonScan works again straight away as before. The wizard does not come back.
  • No: these files go too, including the database file with your users and work. A new installation then starts with the wizard, and all handheld scanners and phones have to be paired again (chapter 7).

With Yes, the database file stays in C:\KoonScan\data. Do you use SQL Server Express (KSCAN)? Then the database always stays, just like SQL Server Express itself. Either way: if you choose the same database in the wizard, your users and work are back.
